Idea:

Surprise a friend, family member or teacher with a hide-n-seek jar filled with positive words you've used to describe their character!

Find:

• an empty jar

• card
• pen
• scissors
• rice/ pasta/ lentils/ beads

Make & Do:

Choose someone to create a Jar of Kindness for! Now think of all of the characteristics of that person and write each one onto a small piece of card.  Ideas include "cheerful", "helpful", "hard-working", "confident" etc.

Now fill the jar 3/4 full of colourful rice, plain lentils or pasta shapes. Add the small word cards in, shake to mix them into the filler material, top up and screw the lid on tight.

Now give as a gift and ask the recipient to find all of the positive words by turning the jar to find them all! This will make a wonderful keepsake.
